Ryan Marie Aiken

THE ARTIST

Born and raised in Seattle, WA, Ryan Marie grew up learning, performing, and eventually coaching at the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts (SANCA). They see SANCA as a second home and treasure the love, respect, and bravery the community there has provided them over the years.

Ryan Marie moved to London, UK in 2024 to attend the degree program at the National Centre for Circus Arts, where they are currently in their third and final year. They specialize in juggling and consider themself a ground-based generalist.

Their love of performing is rooted in a love of storytelling- of bringing others into the universes they create and of sharing the lessons learned there. They are proud to be a part of the Queer community’s story and aim to honor it in all their work.

Ryan Marie’s work is rooted in curiosity, resiliance, and unflinching humanity. They are a lover of poetry and of lichen. They firmly believe that art can change the world, one moment of empathy at a time.
